Team Coaching

What is leadership team coaching?

It’s the process of improving a team’s collective performance and its working practices through reflection and dialogue, support and challenge.

When might your team benefit from leadership team coaching?

When you're just forming
Whether you’re part of a newly created leadership team or merging with another team, coaching can accelerate your collective effectiveness and give hands on experience in how to continually learn and improve your team performance.

When you've been working together for a while
Sometimes you sense that you as a team are capable of higher levels of impact. Sometimes you feel stuck. Sometimes you’re going through a rocky patch together. Team coaching can help develop your collective leadership no matter what your circumstances.

How does a leadership team coaching programme start?

We start with a Discovery phase which includes one to one conversations with each member of the team, as well as 360 degree feedback from your stakeholders. From that I build an insightful picture of what’s working well, and what could be even better. Then we work together to build a coaching plan.

What happens after that?

For some teams, the coaching programme begins and ends with the Discovery phase. It’s all they need to plot a course for working more effectively together, and with greater impact.

Some teams work with me on further stages of their journey to higher performance as a team. This typically takes the form of a combination of:

  • Tailor-made team coaching away days and workshops, which I design and facilitate

  • 1 to 1 coaching sessions for team members and/or the team leader

  • Observed sessions of the team conducting its usual business, with real-time feedback.

Do you offer anything else for team development?

Yes! I often design and facilitate sessions tailored to your specific needs for both single function and multi-disciplinary teams. You might also be interested in one of my workshops.

How can I find out more?

I’m deeply curious about people’s teams and what’s working and what’s not, so I’m always happy to chat and answer questions with no obligation to you whatsoever. Drop me a line.
